Weeping Green Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Viridis’

A superior tree. It can be expected to perform very well in Keizer.

Description

The cultivar ‘Viridis’ is a beautiful green lace-leaf Japanese maple forming a mounding shape. Gardeners often plant this cultivar as a compliment to the red-leaved ‘Crimson Queen’ cultivar.

Characteristics

This Japanese maple variant grows to an eventual height and width of 10’ by 10’, forming a cascading mound shape. It bears bright green leaves 2”-3.5” long, divided into 7-10 lobes, each multi-dissected and extremely narrow with deeply cut side separations. Fall coloration is classified as golden-yellow with tints of red.
