A broadleaf deciduous tree. It grows upright, and spreads outward, creating a rounded canopy. The bark is green, and the leaves have a yellow fall color.

The Snakebark Maple grows to 20 to 30 ft. tall. The leaves are fairly large. The leaves are 8 inches long, and nearly as wide. This tree grows best in partial shade, and normal woodland garden conditions.
