Also known as the Bigtooth Maple. It is a deciduous tree that grows up to 35-50 ft tall.The flowers are small and hanging clusters, appearing with the leaves.

This tree does the best in well-drained soil on the dry side. It is native to a range stretching from Wyoming to Utah amid south to Northern Mexico.
