Patriot Elm

Ulmus davidiana ‘Patriot’

A good tree, a tree that should do well in Keizer.

A broadleaf deciduous and upright tree with a strong header. It has a stiff form when young, but as it matures, it takes on more of a vase-shape.

The Patriot Elm tree is a medium to large tree, it grows up to 55 ft. tall and 30 to 40 ft. wide. The leaves are neatly formed, and have a dark gree color in the summer. It tolerates dry, wet, and clay soil. It even tolerates road salts. It is a hybrid of three different Elm trees (Ulmus wilsoniana, Ulmus x hollandica, and Ulmus minor).
