Carmine Red Witchhazel, is a large open shrub. It is broadleaf deciduous plant. It is slow to grow.


It grows up to 15 ft. tall and 20 ft. wide. The flowers have numerous red pretals in the late winter and early spring. It is a rather fragrant shrub. The branches tend to grow at a 45° angle, but in opposite directions, crisscrossing in a lattice-like pattern.
